How to Enable Password Protection for Waiter/Salesman Selection
The Waiter Selection with Password feature adds an essential layer of security to your checkout process. When enabled, if a cashier attempts to assign a transaction to a different staff member (other than the default logged-in user), the system will prompt them to enter that specific staff member's personal password. This ensures sales and commissions are accurately attributed to the correct employee.
Part 1: Enabling the Feature
- Access the POS Settings: From your main POS screen, locate and click the Settings icon (the gear symbol) to open the configuration menu.

- Locate the Security Setting: Scroll to the middle section of the page and find the option labeled Waiter Selection with Password.
- Enable the Option: Click the toggle switch next to this setting. The switch will turn green to indicate that the password requirement is now active.

Part 2: Using the Password Prompt During Checkout
- Create an Order: Add items to the cart as usual (e.g., Table Cloth, Dress Cotton, etc.).
- Proceed to Finalize: Click the green Delivery & Save (or standard Save/Print) button to complete the transaction.
- Open the Salesman Menu: The Choose Salesman pop-up will appear. You will notice that one user is already selected by default (usually the cashier currently logged into the register).
- Select a Different Staff Member: To assign the sale to someone else, click their name from the available list (for example, clicking on "Hasil").
*[Image: The 'Choose Salesman' pop-up window showing the user clicking on a different staff member's name]* - Enter the Password: Because you are changing the assigned salesman, a new security pop-up titled Enter Selected User Password will appear.
- Authenticate the Change: Type the personal password of the staff member you are trying to select into the password field. Once entered, click Enter to successfully assign them to the order.

Why use this security feature?
In environments where staff receive sales commissions or tips, it is crucial that sales records remain perfectly accurate. By requiring a password, you prevent staff members from accidentally or intentionally ringing up transactions under a colleague's profile. A staff member must be physically present to enter their password, guaranteeing authentic sales attribution.
