How to Enable and Use the Discount Popup
The Discount Popup feature allows cashiers to easily apply custom discounts to individual items directly from the shopping cart. By enabling this setting, a dedicated discount button will appear next to each product, bringing up a quick-access menu where you can apply a discount by a specific amount or a percentage.
Part 1: Enabling the Discount Popup Feature
- Access the POS Settings: From your main POS screen, click the Settings icon (the gear symbol) to open the configuration menu.

- Turn on the Feature: Click the toggle switch next to Enable Discount Popup. Once enabled, the toggle will turn green, and additional configuration fields will appear below it.

- Discount Effected On: Click the dropdown and select "On Each Product" to ensure the discount applies to specific items individually.
- Discount Popup Button: Choose your default input method. You can select either "Amount" (for flat-rate discounts) or "Percentage".
- Save Your Settings: Click the Save Settings button in the bottom right corner of the window to apply your changes. You will be taken back to the main POS screen.
Part 2: Applying a Discount to an Item
- Add an Item to the Cart: Select a product (for example, by typing its name in the Product Name field) and click the Add + button. The item will appear in the cart on the right.
- Open the Discount Menu: In the cart, look at the item's row. You will now see a new discount icon (a percentage symbol %) located on the right side of the item box. Click this icon.

- Quick Percentage Buttons: Click one of the red preset buttons at the top (e.g., 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%) for a fast percentage discount.
- Manual Entry: Type a custom number directly into either the Amount field or the Percentage field.

Pro Tip: Speed Up the Checkout Line
The quick percentage buttons (5%, 10%, 15%, etc.) are excellent for standard store promotions or employee discounts. Encouraging your cashiers to use these pre-set buttons instead of manually typing numbers can significantly reduce the time it takes to process a sale.
