How to Select the Correct KOT Print Design

To ensure your Kitchen Order Tickets (KOT) print correctly, you must select a visual layout that corresponds to your specific hardware setup. The KOT Print Design list dynamically changes based on your underlying printing technology (online vs. offline). This guide will show you how to match your printing option with the correct ticket design.

Part 1: Verifying Your KOT Print Option

The designs available to you depend entirely on your core printing method. You must confirm this setting first.

1. Navigate to your main Settings and open the POS Global Settings window.
2. Locate the KOT Print Option dropdown menu.
3. Select the correct method for your business type:
   • Choose QZ Industrial Printing if you are an online customer (cloud-based).
   • Choose AIP Printing if you are an offline customer (local network).

Part 2: Choosing the Matching KOT Design

Once your primary printing method is set, you can select the visual template for your tickets.

1. Directly next to the printing option, click on the KOT Print Design dropdown menu.
2. A list of compatible ticket designs will pop up.
   • If you selected QZ Industrial Printing earlier, you will see standard design options like KOT_WITH_TOKEN_CARWASH or KOT_WITH_TOKEN.
   • If you selected AIP Printing earlier, you will see offline-specific design options such as KOT_print_with_JSON.

3. Click to select the specific layout you need from the list.
4. Finally, click the Save Settings button in the bottom right corner of the window to apply your choices.
