How to Configure the Discount Popup Settings
To streamline your discount application process, the system allows you to configure a Discount Popup that triggers automatically when adding items to an order. This feature helps your staff apply price reductions efficiently without needing to navigate through complex menus.
Part 1: Accessing Discount Settings
All discount-related configurations are managed within the Global Settings menu.
- Navigate to your main Settings and open the POS Global Settings window.
- Select the POS Local Settings tab (located at the top of the settings window).
- Scroll down to the Discount section to view the available configuration options.

Part 2: Understanding Discount Popup Options
Once in the Discount section, you can tailor how the discount popup behaves:
- Enable Discount Popup: Click this toggle to turn the automatic popup feature ON. When enabled, a window will appear to help you apply discounts as you process items.
- Discount Effected On: Use this dropdown to choose whether the discount applies On Each Product (individually) or on the Total Order.
- Discount Popup Button: Use this dropdown to define your preferred input format for the discount:
- Amount: Enter a flat monetary discount value (e.g., $5.00 off).
- Percentage: Enter a percentage-based discount (e.g., 10% off).
Part 3: Saving Your Changes
- After selecting your desired settings, click the Save Settings button in the bottom right corner of the window.
- The configuration will take effect immediately across your POS dashboard.
Pro-Tip
If you frequently run fixed-price promotions (e.g., "$1 off"), set the Discount Popup Button to "Amount." If you prefer relative discounts (e.g., "Student Discount 10%"), setting it to "Percentage" is the more efficient choice.
