How to Disable the KOT (Tag) Option in POS
By default, your POS system displays a KOT (Kitchen Order Ticket) or "Tag" icon next to each item added to the shopping cart. This feature is commonly used to add special instructions or tracking tags to individual products. If your business does not require item tagging, you can easily disable this option to keep your checkout interface clean and streamlined.
Part 1: Identifying the KOT Tag Option
Before changing any settings, when you select products and add them to your cart, you will notice a small yellow tag icon (the KOT Tag Option) visible on the far right side of each item's row.

Part 2: Steps to Disable the KOT Option
- Open POS Settings: From your main POS transaction screen, click the Settings icon (the gear symbol) to access the system configuration.

- Locate the Setting: Scroll or look towards the upper middle section of the settings screen for the option labeled Disable KOT.
- Turn on the Disable Toggle: Click the toggle switch next to "Disable KOT." Note: Because this setting is designed to disable a feature, turning the switch ON (so it turns green) will hide the tag icons.

Part 3: Verifying the Setting
- Start a New Order: Select a new product from your inventory grid or search bar to add it to the cart.
- Check the Cart: Look at the item row in your shopping cart. You will now see that the KOT tag option is completely disabled and no longer visible next to the item.

Why disable this feature?
The KOT tag is highly useful for restaurants, cafes, or service businesses (like laundry) that need to print specific tickets for the kitchen or workshop. However, for standard retail businesses (like a supermarket or clothing store), this button takes up unnecessary space. Disabling it prevents accidental clicks and provides your cashiers with a cleaner, distraction-free checkout screen.
