How to Enable and Use the Vehicle Details Popup

The Vehicle Details Popup is a specialized feature designed primarily for car wash software and automotive service businesses. When enabled, the system will automatically prompt your staff to capture a vehicle's license plate number and visual details before proceeding with a customer's order. This ensures accurate tracking of every vehicle serviced.

Part 1: Enabling the Vehicle Details Feature

You must first turn on the vehicle tracking prompt in your system's global settings.

1. Navigate to your main Settings menu and open the POS Global Settings window.
2. Scroll through the settings list to locate the option labeled Enable Vehicle Details Popup.

3. Click the toggle switch to enable it (turn it ON).
4. Click the Save Settings button in the bottom right corner of the window to apply your changes.

Part 2: Recording Vehicle Details During an Order

Once the setting is enabled, the order workflow will update to require vehicle information upfront.

1. Refresh your POS screen or begin a new transaction. A Number Plate & Details window will pop up automatically.

2. Type the vehicle's license plate into the Plate-No. field (for example, "ae 4508").
3. Optional: If your system is connected to a camera, you can use the "Take Photo" or "Upload from PC" buttons to attach an image of the vehicle.
4. Click the green Next button to proceed to the main POS screen.
5. Enter the customer's name in the top search bar.
6. Select the required car wash services or items from your product grid to add them to the cart.
7. Click Save Order (or Save Order & Print) to finalize the transaction. The vehicle details are now permanently linked to this order.

Part 3: Viewing and Updating Saved Vehicle Details

You can easily retrieve a vehicle's information later by opening its corresponding order record.

1. Open your order search menu (for example, by clicking "Orders made today").
2. Locate the specific transaction in the list and click to open the Job Order details window.
3. The Number Plate & Details window will be accessible, displaying the originally entered plate number.

4. If you missed any information during checkout or need to make corrections (such as updating the plate number or adding a photo), you can make those additions directly from this screen.
