Search Share Template

How to Configure and Use the Search Share Template

Sometimes you need to print a consolidated list or statement of multiple orders at once. The Search Share Template setting allows you to select the specific visual layout (or template) that the system will use when you generate a printout of multiple selected orders from your search screen.

Part 1: Selecting Your Print Template

Before you can print a combined list of orders, you must first assign a template layout in your global settings.

  1. Navigate to your main Settings and open the POS Global Settings window.
  2. Scroll through the settings list until you locate the Search Share Template dropdown menu.
  3. Click the dropdown menu to view the available layouts.

  4. Select the desired template from the list (for example, select 1 - TEMPLATE_SEARCH_LIST).
  5. Click the Save Settings button in the bottom right corner of the window to apply your selection.

Part 2: Printing a Statement of Multiple Orders

Once your template is saved, you can use the Share feature on your orders list to generate the printout.

  1. Open your order records or search screen (for example, by clicking "Orders made today").
  2. In the list of orders, use the checkboxes on the far left side of the rows to select multiple orders that you want to include in your statement.

  3. Once your orders are selected, locate and click the Share button in the top right corner of the list.
  4. From the dropdown menu that appears, click the Print option.

  5. A new window will open displaying a print preview of your "Statement." This preview will format the selected orders directly into the template layout you chose in Part 1.

  6. You can now proceed to print the document or save it as a PDF.

Important Note

Selecting a template in the POS Global Settings is a mandatory step for this feature to work. If the Search Share Template field is left blank or unselected, the "Print" option will not function properly when you try to share multiple orders from the search screen.
