How to Configure Invoice Print Options and Designs

Your point-of-sale (POS) system supports several different printing methods to ensure compatibility with your specific hardware setup. Additionally, you can customize the look of your customer receipts by selecting from various pre-loaded invoice designs. This guide will show you how to configure both settings.

Part 1: Selecting Your Printing Method

First, you need to tell the system which underlying technology you are using to send documents to your receipt printer.

  1. Navigate to your main Settings and open the POS Global Settings window.
  2. Scroll through the settings until you locate the Invoice Printing Option section.
  3. Click the dropdown menu below "Invoice Printing Option" to view the available methods. You will see several options, including:
    • AIP Printing
    • QZ Industrial Printing
    • HTML Printing
    • PDF Template
    • Offline Printing

  4. Select the printing method that matches your hardware setup. (Note: For most standard setups, QZ Industrial Printing is the recommended and normally used option).

Part 2: Choosing an Invoice Print Design

Once you have selected how the system prints, you can choose what the printed invoice will look like.

  1. Directly next to the printing options, locate the Invoice Print Design dropdown menu.
  2. Click this dropdown to open a list of available receipt templates. These templates vary by paper size (e.g., 58mm, 80mm), regional requirements (e.g., VAT inclusion), and layout styles (e.g., tags, QR codes).

  3. Select the design template that best fits your business needs and printer paper size.
  4. Once both your method and design are selected, click the Save Settings button in the bottom right corner to apply your changes.

Tip: Testing Your Printer

After saving these settings, it is highly recommended to process a test order and print a receipt to ensure your chosen layout looks correct on your physical paper and that your selected printing method communicates properly with your printer.
