How to Enable and Use the POS Category View
To make navigating your product catalog faster for your staff, you can organize your point-of-sale (POS) screen using category tabs. By enabling the Laundry POS with Category feature, your main checkout screen will display clickable tabs (such as Dry Clean, Wash Only, etc.) above the product grid. Clicking a tab instantly filters the items below it, making it much easier to find specific services.
Part 1: Enabling the Category Tabs
First, you need to turn on the category view from your system's global settings.
- Navigate to your main Settings menu and open the POS Global Settings window.
- Scroll through the general configuration options until you locate the toggle labeled Laundry POS with Category.

- Click the Save Settings button in the bottom right corner of the window to apply your changes.
Part 2: Using the Category View on the POS Screen
Once the setting is saved, your main ordering screen will transform to include the new navigation tabs.
- Return to your main POS dashboard (refresh the screen if necessary).
- Look directly above the main product grid. You will now see a row of colorful tabs representing your different item categories (e.g., DRY CLEAN, wash only, Membership, Dry WASH, CLEAN only).

- The product list below will immediately filter to display only the items related to the category you clicked. For example, clicking "DRY CLEAN" will hide all standard laundry items and only show items configured for dry cleaning.

Best Practice for Speed
Organizing your POS with categories is highly recommended if you have a large catalog of services or products. It prevents your staff from having to scroll endlessly or search manually, significantly speeding up the checkout process for your customers. Ensure your items are assigned to the correct categories in the backend for this feature to work flawlessly.
