Enable Pickup

How to Enable and Manage Pickup Requests

This guide explains how to activate the "Enable Pickup" feature in your Point of Sale (POS) system. By default, the pickup management tools might be hidden from your main order screen to save space. Enabling this setting adds a dedicated "Pickup" button to your dashboard, allowing your staff to easily view, manage, and create new customer pickup requests.

Part 1: Enabling the Pickup Feature

To make the Pickup button visible on your main dashboard, follow these steps in your system settings:

Step 1: Navigate to your main system settings and open the POS Local Settings tab located at the top of the screen.

Step 2: Scroll through the options until you find the toggle switch labeled Enable Pickup.

Step 3: Click the toggle switch to turn it on. The switch will visually update (typically turning green) to indicate it is active.

Step 4: Click the Save Settings button at the bottom right corner of the window to apply your changes.

Part 2: Using the Pickup Menu

Once the setting is enabled, you can access the pickup management screen directly from your main POS workflow.

Step 1: Return to the main POS dashboard. Look at the right-hand action menu (below the "Save Order" button).

Step 2: You will now see a new orange button labeled Pickup. Click this button to open the pickup management window.

Step 3: Managing Existing Requests. In the new window, you will see a list of current pickup requests. To update an existing order, select it from the list by clicking on its row, and then click the Modify Status button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4: Creating a New Request. If you need to schedule a completely new pickup for a customer, click the New Pickup Request button located at the top right corner of the window.

💡 Note on Disabling

If your business does not offer pickup services, or if you simply want to declutter the POS screen, you can return to the POS Local Settings at any time and disable the "Enable Pickup" toggle. Doing so will immediately hide the orange Pickup button from your main dashboard.
