How to Configure the Sales Return Print Option
When processing a refund or return, you may want the printed receipt to look different from a standard sales invoice. The Sales Return Printing Option allows you to configure a dedicated printing method and design specifically for sales return receipts. This feature functions exactly the same as the standard invoice printing setup.
Part 1: Selecting the Printing Method
First, you need to set the core printing technology used for return receipts.
- Navigate to your main Settings and open the POS Global Settings window.
- Scroll through the settings list to locate the Sales Return Printing Option section.
- Click the dropdown menu to view the available printing methods. The options available here are identical to your standard invoice settings, including:
- AIP Printing
- QZ Industrial Printing
- HTML Print
- PDF Template
- Offline Printing

Part 2: Choosing the Sales Return Print Design
After selecting your printing method, you must choose a receipt template layout that is compatible with it.
- Directly next to the printing option, locate the Sales Return Print Design dropdown menu.
- Click this dropdown to open a pop-up list of available receipt designs.
*[Image: Sales Return Print Design dropdown menu showing various design template options]* - Carefully select the required design template from the list. It is crucial that the design you choose matches your selected printing method from Part 1.
- Once you have matched your printing method and design, click the Save Settings button in the bottom right corner of the window to apply your changes.
Important Reminder
Always ensure your Print Design matches your Printing Option. For example, if you set the Sales Return Printing Option to QZ Industrial Printing, you must select a template from the design list that is explicitly formatted for QZ Industrial Printing. Mismatching these options may cause your printer to produce blank or incorrectly formatted receipts.
