How to Select a Sales Return Print Design
Your point-of-sale (POS) system allows you to customize the appearance of the receipts given to customers during a refund or return. Using the Sales Return Print Design setting, you can choose from various pre-configured templates. It is important to know that the template designs available in the list will change depending on the core printing method your system is currently using.
Part 1: Setting Your Printing Option First
Before you can select a design, you must ensure your underlying printing method is selected correctly, as the design templates are linked to specific printing technologies.
- Navigate to your main Settings and open the POS Global Settings window.
- Scroll through the settings and locate the Sales Return Printing Option dropdown.
- Click the dropdown and select your preferred printing method. For example, you might select QZ Industrial Printing or change it to HTML Print.

Part 2: Selecting the Matching Design Template
Once your printing option is defined, you can now choose a visual layout that corresponds to it.
- Directly next to your printing option, locate the Sales Return Print Design dropdown menu.
- Click this dropdown to open the list of available templates. Because you set your printing option in the previous step, this list will now automatically show the compatible designs.
- For example, if you selected HTML Print in Part 1, this pop-up list will now display HTML-specific layouts (e.g., html_vat_laundry_without_letterhead, html_folder_laundry, etc.).

- Click the Save Settings button in the bottom right corner of the window to apply your chosen layout.
Crucial Tip
The printing option and the print design must always correspond. If you change your Printing Option in the future (for instance, switching from QZ to HTML), you must also remember to update your Print Design to a matching format, otherwise your return receipts will fail to print correctly.
